Carnivore Diet Macro Calculator
Get a practical estimate of your daily calories, protein, fat, and carbohydrates based on your body measurements, activity, goal, and carnivore approach.
Your Estimated Daily Targets
ESTIMATES only — use these as a starting point, not exact nutritional requirements.
What Does This Look Like as Carnivore Food?
Example food combinations only. Actual nutrition varies by food choice, cut, preparation, and brand.

How Does the Carnivore Macro Calculator Work?
The calculator uses your age, sex, height, weight, activity level, and goal to create an estimated starting point. It calculates BMR with the Mifflin–St Jeor equation, applies an activity multiplier, and then applies the selected goal adjustment.
Protein is shown as an estimated range of 1.6–2.0 g per kg of body weight, with the midpoint presented as a suggested starting point. Fat is estimated from the calories remaining after that midpoint protein target.
Carnivore Diet Calculator vs. Carnivore Macro Calculator
A calorie calculator focuses primarily on estimated daily energy needs. A macro calculator goes a step further by breaking that estimate into protein and fat, while recognizing that carbohydrate intake depends on the foods you actually choose.
What Should Your Carnivore Macros Be?
There is no single macro target that applies to everyone following a carnivore-style diet. Body size, activity, goal, food choices, and individual circumstances can all affect what is appropriate. The ranges here are estimates rather than individualized prescriptions.
How Do You Calculate Carnivore Calories?
The calculator estimates resting energy expenditure with Mifflin–St Jeor, multiplies it by an activity factor, then applies an estimated goal adjustment: 0% for maintenance, −15% for weight loss, and +10% for weight gain. These percentages are calculator assumptions, not medically prescribed or universally appropriate targets.
What Do These Numbers Mean?
Calories: estimated daily energy target.
Protein: estimated range based on body weight, plus a midpoint starting point.
Fat: estimated grams used to provide the remaining calories after the midpoint protein target.
Carbohydrates: dependent on the actual foods selected. The calculator does not assume every carnivore-style diet contains exactly zero grams of carbohydrate.
Turn Your Macro Target Into Food
Protein-rich animal food.
Protein + fat.
Primarily fat.
Optional depending on the selected approach.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I calculate my carnivore macros?
Estimate calorie needs from body measurements and activity, choose a goal, then use a practical protein range and estimate fat from the remaining calories. This calculator performs those steps for you.
What should my carnivore macros be?
There is no single target for everyone. The calculator provides an estimated protein range and a calorie-based fat estimate as a starting point.
Can I use this as a carnivore calorie calculator?
Yes. Its estimated calorie target is based on BMR, activity level, and the selected goal.
Does carnivore mean zero carbs?
Carbohydrate intake depends on the foods chosen. Strict carnivore-style eating is typically very low in carbohydrate, but this calculator does not promise exactly 0 g.
Are these exact nutritional requirements?
No. They are estimates for informational purposes only. Individual nutrition needs vary.
Can I use this calculator for weight loss?
Yes. Select “Lose Weight” to apply the calculator’s estimated −15% calorie adjustment. This is a calculation assumption, not a guarantee or medical recommendation.
